Tips for Black Friday in South Africa

1
Check prices before the sale startsNote the price of anything you want a week or two before the sale. Then you can tell a real discount from a raised price that's been marked down.
2
Watch the countdown dealsIn 2025, Takealot ran category countdown deals for three weeks before the main Blue Dot Sale. Some of the best prices can come before Black Friday itself.
3
Cyber Monday is part of itTakealot's main sale ran through Cyber Monday last year, so if you miss a deal on Friday, check again on Monday.
4
Allow time for international ordersOrders from AliExpress or Temu ship from overseas, so they take longer than local stores. Check the delivery estimate at checkout, especially for gifts, and allow for possible import charges.

Information is based on typical market practices and is for educational purposes only. Always verify local tax and customs rules before purchasing.
